ABOUT US
This fine establishment, minutes from the sea and surrounded by miles of beautiful countryside, opened its doors early Summer 2010 when Sally and Jamie Wickens, a local couple renowned for their epicurean skills, decided that life in Winchelsea Beach had to improve on the food and drink front.
Recently refurbished, The Ship continues to sail with a fine crew servicing both locals and visitors alike from its boutique style cafe/bar and award winning butchers counter whilst offering a bounty of culinary curiosities from our shop and delicatessen.
Conceived on the site of a derelict pub, The Ship features ample cutomer parking to the front and a welcoming coastal oasis in the back garden, which can be enjoyed during the warmer weather.

Our traditional butchers counter stocks a range of the finest quality fresh cut meat all sourced from trusted local farmers and suppliers, guaranteeing low food miles and a great taste.
